We had a new session start over at the House today. This will be our second session teaching fitness & self defense there. Previously, I’ve taught the students yoga and fusion classes over the summer. I have to say, I’m loving this style of teaching.
What started out as two new students today, turned into SIX with two more starting on Wednesday this week! I’m astounded. Even more so by the dedication I saw this afternoon not only from my Advanced Class, but from our new students as well. They were all paying attention, focused, determined to learn and not put off by our requirements for homework and school grades to maintain their position in class.
As for our advanced students? Not only were they helping train and correct our beginners, but when I sent them off to work on their own, they WORKED. And, came up with creative ways to keep moving and keep practicing while Nick and I were balancing our first mixed level class.
I’m exhausted, sore and just so darn proud of ALL of them. This is why I love teaching.
So, welcome to our beginners. I’m already proud of what I’ve seen from you in class and can’t wait to see what else you do!
Namaste,
~Stacia
