Energy Focus: Meditations & More

Thoughts on energy that I’ve picked up from my recent reading:

  • Energy never dies. It only changes form.
  • All energy is changeable. Therefore, we should be able to make changes in the energy around us.
  • Energy flows where attention goes. Thinking deeply and continuous about a person, place or thing (topic) puts you energy towards it.
  • Anything is possible with energetic focus.
  • Everything is energy. Thought is energy, one kind of energy can be converted into another. Energy influences movement or active and activity/movement creates change.
  • Because everything is energy, everything is connected – think of a web reaching out & connecting each and every one of is, some are closer on the web than others.
  • Internal energy – start with visualizing a glowing blue org 2 inches below your navel, let this image build until the energy can reach out through your body (you’ll probably feel a tingling sensation).

These are just a few of the thoughts on energy that I’ve started with. I’ve always known/sensed that everything is energy.

My examples:

  1. I attribute my ability to state an intention to the Universe and then to have it happen. When I state something, i.e., I need more paying projects flowing in, with intention, focus and the acceptance that it will happen, usually I have 3 projects end up on my desk by the end of the day.
  2. Deep meditations will usually yield peaceful connections and/or connections with others. I can go very deep into the quiet recesses of my mind and simply exist OR use the time to focus on a person or idea to help feed energy to them or a project of mine. Either way, the person either lets me know they ‘heard’ me in some way…like, oh, I was thinking about you the other day…or oh, yeah, a felt a surge of warmth the other day and my arm was feeling better. For a project, I use this time to help mold or expand stories most often, like day dreaming. It makes my writing richer.
  3. Recently, I’ve used these tenets in my training at the gym – building my internal energy and seeing how I could use it to push my body and the heavy bag/weights as if I were pushing against a larger person. I’ve only consciously done it twice now (I’m sure I’ve done it many more times unconsciously.) And because some teammates have asked, I focused on imagining a blue orb of energy – it’s shiny and light, use whatever image works for you – forming about 2 inches below my navel and let it build until I felt warmth/tingling in my stomach and chest – then I simply allowed/pushed the energy out into my arms and hands before doing a full on hit to the heavy bag. That’s the easiest explanation I have. I used the same technique to power through a very heavy lifting day with my shoulders. I will continue to use this in all my physical training going forward now that I can feel it and get it moving. (I attribute this to my teammates and my reading :) ) I can’t wait to see where it leads!
  4. Sensing other people – now this one I wasn’t expecting, but maybe I should have since I used to be able to do this in a limited way in my teens (with limited people would be the best explanation). Not only are Brenda and I in sync on a lot of topics, but she’s been getting after me for posting something up on FB right as she was thinking the same thing…but I also have a friend who’s presence I can sense when nearby or thinking about me. It’s been very surprising in the last few days, but that tingling sensation in the back of my neck has just grown increasingly stronger with each instance. I’m attributing that to my increased awareness about energy as well. Before I would have passed it off as just being silly about it, but I’m noticing that’s not the case. (And, I’m hoping others are starting to notice this kind of awareness as well and it’s not just me LOL.) Of course, other than Brenda, this one tends to creep out the other people I know if they notice it too :D

I’m going to continue with this energy work focus and see where it leads. I read a lot of things, many on the very esoteric side and it’s requiring me to pay constant attention to the energy in my body and the energy in the air around me. It’s definitely keeping me out of the dramas that tend to flow around me!
